Neurological Department utilizes up-to-date methods for screening and treatment of patients with diseases of central and peripheral nervous system. Doctors apply such examination techniques as multispiral computed tomography, angiographic study of cerebral vessels, electroencephalography (EEG) with computed data processing and echoencelophalography.
The Department performs diagnostics and treatment of cerebropathies and spinal cord diseases (ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, encephalopathies, traumas, vegetovascular dystonia, cephalalgia with different genesis), which represent 50% of the total number of patients. For treatment of patients with diseases of peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, poly- and mononeuropathies of various etiologies: traumatic, toxic and diabetic neuritidis), the Department uses analgetic blockades, manual therapy, acupuncture, analgetic electrophrenic therapy.
The Department provides treatment for patients with functional disorders of nervous system and neurosis using state-of-the-art pharmacotherapeutic medicines and psychotherapist’ and psychologist’s consultations.
